The medifast diet is a very safe and effective diet and weight loss program. The main reason

What is the Fat-Burning State?
When you are on the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan, your daily calorie intake is very low at
around 800 to 1,000 calories. This causes your body to enter a fat-burning state
- a “mild ketosis”. In this state, your body’s fat releases free fatty acids, which
are transformed by the liver to an energy source - the ketones. This mild
fat-burning state helps the body achieve fast weight loss while
preserving muscle tissue. It also helps eliminate physical
