Complete Information on Bowen’s disease
Bowen’s disease typically presents as a gradually enlarging, well demarcated erythematous plaque with an irregular border and surface crusting or scaling. Perhaps BD occurs in any age but is rare in the adult in 30 year before age.
Bowen’s disease is also called squamous cell carcinoma. It is a form of skin cancer. Bowen’s disease is a growth of abnormal cells that is confined to the outer layer of the skin. It usually appears as a slow-growing red and scaly patch. SCC in situ is usually a red, scaly patch. It tends to be seen on areas frequently exposed to the sun. Some itch, crust or ooze, but most have no particular feeling. SCC in situ may be mistaken for rashes, eczema, fungus or psoriasis.
