Both German and Roman Chamomile are well known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Chamomile has found its way into most modern day drug stores and features in a wide range of products. Especially products meant for babies.
Chamazulene and azulene have been extracted from chamomile by drug companies and put into creams and ointments for irritated skins.
Chamomile is a wonderful herb. It is used in shampoos and hair products for blonde hair, in baby baths and ointments.
For certain individuals with acne, washing their faces with chamomile water helps clear the acne. (It may irritate the skin of some individuals though. Especially those allergic to grass and to plants in the daisy family.)
