The smoky eye is one of my favorite eye looks to do. And for those that have always wanted to give it a go, I suggest starting off with a semi-smoky eye. Here, I’ve created a very dark semi-smoky, with a lot of color smudging to the bottom lash line, light shadow hues over the crease and brow bone and about 3 coats of mascara. It’s fun, sultry and playful. It’s great being a woman!

Face: Concealer, Foundation and Powder: MMU Hide It in Medium applied with a dry wedge sponge under eye area, concentrating on inner corners. Then blending well with a concealer brush and dabbing with ring finger to set and give it a smoother finish.
Club Monaco Oil-Free Liquid in Neutral 2 applied with a damp, wedge latex-free sponge. I applied in a stipple motion all the way through and didn’t glide the foundation across the face to give it a more polished and semi-matte finish.
MMU Love Flush in Very Bashful applied with a Pro Puff to set.

Eyes: When using very dark and opaque shadows, I suggest using a super duper eye shadow base so that the shadow adheres well to the skin and helps prevent the dark shadow from smearing all over.

MMU Eye Rescue from lash line to brow bone. Blending well.
MMU On and Off (Black matte shade) applied damp with a sponge-tipped brush over mobile lids and under and between bottom lash line. Layering on lids about 3 or 4  times and blending extremely well. Set with a loose, translucent powder using a fluff brush or a squirrel brush. A small to medium make-up brush that is extremely soft, not a stiff brush so that the dark shadows set well with the translucent powder, without disturbing the shadow underneath. You can also use Movie Star which has shimmer particles in it for a shimmery semi-smoky eye.
MMU Mattify in Army applied slightly to outer crease, over and on black shadow and slightly extending outwards. Blend well.
MMU I-Liner in Black. Slant the liner slightly and rim eyes, using a slight feathering motion. Try not to glide it along. It should look somewhat undefined and smudged. Set liner with black shadow and smudge a tad more, allowing the black shadow to look lighter under liner and bottom lash line.
MMU Mattify in Play Dough over and on crease and blending well into brow bone. Play Dough goes over Army as well so that the shades blend well into one another.
MMU On and Off (White shimmer shade) blended lightly and well onto brow bone, just underneath arch and under end of brow.
MMU No Falsies in Black to bottom and top lashes. (3 coats) I curled the lashes beforehand. I warmed the rubber of the MMU curl away lash curler and by warming it, it helps keep the curl. I do not suggest doing this too often as it may weaken lashes.
MMU Left in the Dust in Relic slightly into the brows to enhance the red in Michelle’s brows and compliment hair color and contrast shade to her eye color for extra oomph. I set Relic with Hold It Brow gel.

Cheeks: MMU Just Cheeky in Copacabana applied slightly on cheek bone and concentrating more color under cheek bone and sweeping outwards towards temples. I applied blush before powder application.

Lips: MMU Clearly Lip Juice mixed with MMU Crema Lipstick in Tessa. I mixed the Lip Juice and lipstick to create a very sheer, kinda nude brown/muted orange hue that allowed her natural lip color to come through. I dabbed this mix on Michelle’s lips with my ring finger to keep it as natural looking as possible. This shade complimented Michelle’s coloring perfectly. A sheer, pinky/beige nude hue or any neutral shade of lippy that suits your tone works well with this look.
