Cravings, Signs of Your Diseases (I)
No matter how strange it may seem, cravings may be a consequence of
certain diseases, according to Chinese medicine. This idea is confirmed
by classic medicine as well.
Cravings for meat may come as a result of the lack of proteins
generated of intense physical or intellectual effort. This may also be
a cause of stress, anemia, tuberculosis, hepatitis, of sweet
consumption.
The cravings for butter, margarine, cream, or whip cream may be due to
the lack of fatty acids or anemia, renal insufficiency, tuberculosis,
thyroid affections, or renal affections.
Those who crave for
nuts, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, almonds, or pistachios may suffer from
certain affections generated by the lack of fatty acids. Cardiovascular
diseases, high levels of cholesterol, the increased activity of the
thyroid, or renal insufficiency may be causes of unsaturated fats
cravings.
Sweet cravings may show up as a result of the
lack of carbohydrates due to intense physical exercise, diarrhea, or
fever. Pancreas tumors, thyroid insufficiency, or vitamin A and D
treatment may have the same effect.
Alcohol, coffee, or drug consumption may also
lead to the same cravings because fresh fruits and vegetables fight
against the free radicals excessively produced due to the toxins in
these products.
When people crave for dairy products they
usually have a lack of calcium. The lack of calcium may be due to the
cocoa, chocolate, or spinach excess. It may also be a cause of some
diseases such as osteoporosis, cirrhosis, renal insufficiency, thyroid
insufficiency , and Para-thyroid insufficiency.
